Kingpins Most Sustainable Product x
Piero Turk
We are bringing our “Most Sustainable Product” initiative to life in collaboration with denim design legend Piero Turk. The concept is this: Piero Turk has used the S/S 2021 fabrics selected by our independent expert as the Most Sustainable Products on the Kingpins Amsterdam show floor to create a collection of beautiful garments meant to inspire designers. The collection will include data about the environmental footprint of each fabric as well as the washes and finishes of each garment. Learn more about the S/S 2021 fabrics on our MSP list here.
Kingpins Cancels
Hong Kong 2020 Show
Given the current health concerns and significant travel restrictions put in place due to the coronavirus in China, Kingpins Show organizers have opted to cancel the Kingpins Hong Kong show, originally slated for May 13/14.
NEW YORK | February 11, 2020 | The 2020 edition of Kingpins Hong Kong has been cancelled due to health concerns and travel restrictions linked to the coronavirus epidemic in China. Originally set for May 13/14, 2020, the next edition of Kingpins Hong Kong will now take place in May 2021.
“We are very concerned about the situation in China and understand that many of our exhibitors and attendees are dealing with extreme difficulties and uncertainty due to efforts to contain the spread of the virus,” said Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins Show. “In light of these issues and the expectation that the disruption will continue for some time, we felt it best to cancel our Hong Kong event. The health and safety of our exhibitors and attendees is our primary concern. We will be back in 2021.”
Kingpins organizers will continue to monitor the situation in China.
“The Asian denim market remains central to the global denim industry and we look forward to bringing this international community together in September,” said Vivian Wang, managing director of Kingpins.
